MY STORY
IN A TIMELINE
This is a great area to look at my developement as a creative director and photographer through the last 20 yrs. Click on the side arrows and it will go year to year.
I started my professional career as a commercial photographer in the catalog era working for a company called Avanti Press. I designed and shot product for department stores such as Carson’s, Neiman Marcus and Dillards. I created advertising for Godiva and Brookstone. It was thrilling and rewarding to have my photography displayed at
malls and in publications. At Avanti Press, I gained and developed my experience in press production because my photo studio was located next to a Harris Press. There I received vital training in pre-press production which, ultimately, resulted in better print Quality.
After the working in the catalog industry for some years, I freelanced for Macy’s Department Stores. At Macy’s, I assisted in getting their new digital studio up and running. After establishing a good reputation as a professional digital photographer, I worked for ad companies such as Howard Austin Field and Power Images. During my employment with Power Images, I managed their studio and was their primary creative director. At Power Images, I also enhanced my career by dabbling in illustration and design. I was offered a job by Parlux in their creative department and was excited to accept it because it would offer growth into the creative arena. Within one year, I was Parlux’s Creative Director. Parlux allowed me to use innovative ideas to design, develop and advertise their products today, I have well-rounded experience in Photography, Product Design, Development and Advertising. I can take a vision and turn it into reality with confidence and expediency.
